This time around I got to review Violifes Personal Humidifier Kit for home, office, travel. I am a humidifier nut, I have one in every room of my house, even one on my desk at work. I not only like the humidity they produce to keep my skin not so dry and nose from itching, but I love adding essential oils to make my home smell good and the oil to calm or energize me.....
It comes with the pictured water bottle, that holds 27 ounce of water.
You can also use your own standard water bottle.
This will last all night and into the next day.
I always add 5-10 drops of lavender the water when refilling. I love the soothing scent and it helps me sleep better.
You have the option of mist strength. You just turn the adjustable dimmer knob to deliver mists from 1 once per hour up to 3 ounces per hour. I use mine at the highest setting.
You also have the option of using the m
ulticolored LED light. There's a button on the back to turn this on or off. When I get in bed I usually have the light on, it makes an array of changing colors on my bedroom wall. But once I get ready to fall asleep I turn it off, unless I happen to fall asleep with it on. Either way it's not too bright so you really could sleep with it on, like a night light.The motor is SUPER QUIET, it makes a very slight humming noise, that really you can't hear unless you turn off everything in that area. The whole unit is small enough more tall then wide, to fit on any desk, nightstand or wherever you need humidity.
I use a humidifier all year long. My skin was always so dry and I have horrible sinus issues. The fine mist this humidifier puts out doesn't get anything wet, it just add's moisture into the air. You will tell the difference within a few hours. Your dry skin will start to look less dry and you will just feel better. I used to get daily bloody noses, even days I get to work and get busy and forget to turn on my humidifier I realize within an hour or two, since my nose starts to hurt and I feel like i'm about to get a bloody nose again.
Since this mist is cool, it's safe to put in your child's bedroom or keep lower on a shelf. Worse that happens is they knock it over and water spills. It also won't harm your electronics. So you can put it on your desk near your computer. The mist is so fine, it just goes into the air, it doesn't leave moisture anywhere.
There is no filter or wicks. I just rinse my water bottle out with each new fill ( I don't really think it's necessary but I do it anyways) There no moving parts that you can see, everything down below where the water fills into the base.
