Some of my favorite Newman's Own Organics Products are:

I use Newman's Own Organics, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil almost daily. From adding to foods, salad dressings or for sauteing or roasting veggies. This olive oil has a wonderfully smooth mild taste, excellent on anything you add it to.

Our extra-virgin olive oil, produced in Tunisa, is considered one of the finest and fruitiest of the olive oils. The balsamic vinegar from Modena,
Italy has been aged in wooden casks producing a smooth, mellow character. 

Newman's Own Organics has some wonderful microwave Pop's Corn. 
I make one bag and separate it into a few bags. It's my daily snack at work. 
My favorite is the light butter, it's got the perfect small amount of butter, perfect for a afternoon snack.                 Pop's Corn comes in Organic Light Butter, Organic Butter & Organic Unsalted. I have tried all 3 and like them all. I just prefer the light butter since I like the butter taste for snack time. 

Newman O's are the BEST creme filled cookie in the world!
This was the first time trying the Chocolate Creme Newman O's, they are good, but very chocolaty. Almost too much chocolate for us. I prefer the Original Newman O's, we buy them from time to time at our local market, only problem is my boyfriend eats the whole bag in one day. So I don't buy these as often anymore. 
The Newman O's come in SEVEN flavors I have had them all except Ginger Newman O's.

I am not a big sweets eater, but do from time to time enjoy a small piece of chocolate. 
Or have even used the whole Newman's Own Bars in baking. Especially in frosting.  My favorite has got to be the Organic Orange Dark Chocolate Bars. You can melt this down and add it to frosting or just use it as a topping on chocolate chip scones. You can also break it up and use it as the chocolate in chocolate chip scones along with 1 tsp of orange extract. It makes excellent Chocolate Orange Scones.

The second most used Newman's Own Organic item used in our home is Family Recipe Italian Dressing, I have never received this item, but been buying and using it for many years. Not just on salad, but on pasta dishes, to marinate chicken and for dipping small pieces of toasted Italian bread.

HERMITS.... They are the best. I have to admit they are not just the best, they are addictive. We ate the whole bag in two days. I know, so bad. But trust me they are that good. With a cold glass of milk, hot tea or just alone, ADDICTIVE.... Hermits are wonderful chewy Soft, Spiced Cookie Made With Organic Flour And Organic Sugar.  Once you try a Hermit you will want them all the time. They come in Original, Cinnamon & Ginger. All flavors are equally awesome.

I do think this is a really neat invention. I hate cleaning grout. In my new home we only have tile in the bathroom, but when we do clean it it's a pain (and that's just a small area) If you have a house full of tile I am sure you don't enjoy cleaning it often. But now you can with ease. It's just like moping the floor, but your cleaning your grout. You can use any chemical cleaner you want. The Grout Express can work on any size or pattern of tile.

2. Combine all the avocado-cilantro sauce ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pulse until well combined.

4. Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Once heated, add in the tilapia (a few at a time if you can’t fit them all at once). Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until the outside is blackened and the fish flakes apart easily.

able to try four of their farm fresh products. The generous people of Steelgrass Farms sent me a sampler kit that included a bag of Organic Cacao Nibs, Kauai Vanilla Beans, Kauai Single Estate Chocolate bar and a jar of their Palm Blossom Honey. I was so excited to receive this package I tore into in right away. I tasted everything right as I pulled it from the box and within 30 minutes I was already making my own homemade vanilla extract. The Vanilla Beans were packaged beautifully in a shiny red air tight bag so when I cut it open the fresh scent of vanilla filled my nose.

The box has instructions in it how to make your own fresh vanilla extract so I hoped to it. I use vanilla in everything so I am dying to try the extract. It takes about 3 weeks so I am waiting eagerly.

It was so simple to make. Two Steelgrass Farms Vanilla Beans and One pint of Vodka or Everclear. You just put the beans in the jar, fill er up and let sit in a dark area for about 3 weeks.

It has a great red velvet taste with a yummy background taste of run. 
So good. The moistness of this cake is amazing. No need for frosting,the cake has a
Jamacia rum glaze. plus this cake is perfect right out of the box. 
The small cake 4oz. will serve 1-2 people and the larger 20oz. will feed allot more.
I guess depending on how many slices you are willing to share.

Field Trip Jerky..... Easter Basket Gift Idea Review & Giveaway

Field Trip Jerky was founded by three friends, Matt, Scott and Tom. They use to purchase typical gas station jerky for protein and a nutrient rich snack but always longed for something more. Tom was constantly annoyed that while fitness programs he followed called for a beef jerky snack the options included only processed meats with chemicals. During a ski trip visit to Vermont the guys tried some local homemade beef jerky and shared it on a ski lift. The natural taste of the jerky overwhelmed the guys and their gas station jerky eating days were over. In 2010 Scott, Tom and Matt met to discuss business ideas that they were passionate about and beef jerky came back to the surface. This conversation lead to the creation ofField Trip, a brand built by best friend who love food, nutrition and authentic beef jerky. They decided to by a dehydrator and created their first batch of all natural beef jerky. In 2011 Field Trip sold its first 6 bags of beef jerky at a market right down the street from Matt's New York apartment. Over the next few weeks the Field Trip team rode their bikes around NYC going from grocery store to grocery store to sign up new accounts. In 2012 Field Trip got it's first order from Wegmans and this All Natural Beef Jerky was finally off and running.

For years jerky producers have used soy sauces and other ingredients that contain wheat. There is no need for this in jerky. Field Trip jerky uses a gluten free reduced sodium soy sauce. It’s a common strategy that makes a customer think they are actually getting more protein per bite. FIELD TRIP jerky does not employ any of those tactics – they just make jerky right!

I received a delicious 3 pack of Field Trip Jerky to try. It's tough to say which on is my favorite because they all have their own special quality but I must say, if you're looking for a sweet and soft jerky with a little added kick at the end then the Honey Spice jerky is perfect for you. I love the softness of the meat. It kind of falls apart as you chew it. Some jerky's tend to hurt my teeth because I have to chew and tear at the meat. This Field Trip Honey Spice jerky is quite the opposite of that. It is soft, chewy and packed with flavor so I would have to say that it is my favorite of the three I tried.

Each bag is about 2 servings and a serving of the Honey Spice is only 90 calories. In my photo above you can see that the Turkey Jerky on the right is little bits. That's because I practically ate the entire bag before I stopped and realized I had better take a picture. LOL !! It's so yummy and I love that a serving of it is only 70 calories but packed with 12g of protein..

Drop in a couple of these peppery beans as the perfect garnish to a spicy Bloody Mary and add a splash of spicy Jalabeaño brine for an extra kick!

The Bloody Marys were amaaaaazing and had just the right amount of flavor. The Bloody Mary elixir had the perfect amount of herbs and spices. Each sip that touched my lips and flowed over my tongue had a wonderful amount of chunk hearty goodness, giving my Bloody Mary a superb texture. The Pacific Pickle Works garnish pretty much made my drink a meal. I love being able to take a bite of garnish between each sip of my Bloody Mary.

I also received the Brussizzle Sprouts that I mentioned earlier. In my house we all had our personal favorite sticks. Mine are Cracked Pepper and Honey Mustard. These are so delicious not all of the sticks made it into the photo. At Home ~ The Home Decor Superstore Review

We recently had this WONDERFUL store open in our town, Prescott, Arizona. 
I was lucky enough to get a $50 gift card to try it out. 
I was impressed with how far my $50 went. 
Of course most went to getting things for our two dogs & two cats, but it was well worth it. 

I was not able to attend the Grand Opening, last weekend, due to my hand and just not feeling up to it, but I did go for the first time Monday afternoon. HUGE store, full of a little bit of EVERYTHING. 
If you have a At Home Store by you, you need to go check it out. You will find everything you  need to make your home exactly how you want it. 

This is the first row of isles when you walk in. Seasonal is first. We went right to the pet area, since our pet's rule the house, we figured we would get them something. They were due for new dog beds and a new water/food bowl
​(only cuz they were adorable). 
Below is what we got, with our pets getting in them the second we walked in the door.
I set the beds down and they jumped in. 

Jacky & Duncan love this bed, it's deep, and VERY soft. The inside is a velvet like royal blue the outside is soft too and deep grey. They love this bed. It's like a pet sandwich when one of them's in it. 
Jacky spent hours in the bed last night (black dog) it took her some time to figure out how to get in it and not tip it over, but she has it down now and loves sleeping in there. 
We keep this next to the couch, so she can sleep near us when downstairs. 
Duncan will only go in it now if you put him in it, otherwise he just smells it and walks away. But once you stick him in, he goes right to sleep. Our other cat hasn't figure out how to get in it yet, she just walks over it and walks away. 
This bed cost $12.99

We also got them this adorable water & food dish, I can tell they like the food raised up off the ground some. Molly our mini dachshund used to practically lay down while eating, now she stand or sits her butt down and eats. Plus since the pets dish is between the living room and kitchen in our small home. I liked this way this looked better then just a kitchen bowl for food and big glass bowl for water.  The metal dishes are easy to lift out to clean and refill.  ​Very cute and was only $14.99

Again for the pets, this adorable bed. I guess Duncan thinks it's his, it was really for the dogs, then this morning when I got up our other cat Katy was asleep in it, so i guess it's now a cat bed.  The original plan was to replace the dog bed that sits at the foot of our bed. I guess we were wrong... This bed is super soft in the inside.  I love the pattern on the outside, it's more blue in person, unlike the picture where to me it looks grey.  Duncan is a very big cat, so this bed is larger then it looks. Both our small dogs fit in it at the same time.  ​This bed costs $14.99

and next we actually bought stuff not for the pets.............

As most of you know, my house is SMALL. So we have allot of stuff stored in the upstairs closet. Including toilet paper. Before when you needed a new roll you had to run upstairs.  I did keep an extra under the sink, but most of the time forgot to replace it when we used it. 
I have been wanting one of those handing toilet paper holders, but at another local store they were $25-$30, I thought that was a little much to hold a few rolls of toilet paper. But At Home this was only $7.99 and it matches my trashcan just perfect. 

​The last purchase we made was this handy shower hanger. It get's stuff off the window in the shower and looks great. I love how it matched our fixtures and it was only $14.99 Since adding it to our shower we have now put just about everything the two of us use onto it and cleaned up the window area to make room for my orchard that is just about to bloom.  It's a big help and makes the shower area look cleaner/less cluttered.  Only problem I found was the bottom shelf is allot closer then appears in the picture to the top shelf, so most of our bottles don't fit. I wish it had a little more space to put more pump style bottles.

Overall I thought the $50 went a long ways At Home.... I was very happy with our purchases & as you can see so
​were my pets.....

PROS & CONS of At Home Store. 

Pro's:

• Everything you need in 1 store to furnish your home. 
• Good Prices, especially if you live in a smaller town like I do with not allot of competition. 
• Seasonal items, to decorate your home or to give as gifts. 
• Long hours, open from 9 am to 10 pm every day but Sunday (closes @ 9pm) this is rare for the town I live in, most things close at 5-6 pm. 
• BIG selection of each item, so you can choose optional colors, patterns, textures. 

CON's:

• The store has a odd smell, I am not sure if this is because it's brand new or what, but it has a odd strong plastic smell. I hope it goes away, It was starting to make my head hurt and not want to stay long. 

They had these cute rooms set up around the store to give you ideas. I liked all of them of course... I wish this store would of been open when we got done with our remodel. I would of furnished my whole home with At Home items.

the first words out of their mouth were "where's mine??? Feel free to share. Bella Rosa coffee is soooo good" It is a local favorite and I would love to see more people drinking Bella Rosa Coffee. All their coffees are sold in 10oz cans, 1 lb, 2 lb and 5 lb bags. The coffee is organic, fair trade, shade grown and low acidic. It is truly a warm cup of perfection. There are seven types of coffee to choose from and when you order you can pick from whole bean, fine drip, coarse drip, french press, percolator, espresso or K Cup grind.

Four Seasons ~ Medium roast chocolate bomb. They use two different Bolivian Fair Trade Organic coffees to create this blend. It is very complex with a heavy mouth feel. Four Seasons opens with notes of Mexican and milk chocolate, vanilla and a subtle fruitiness. As the cup cools, you'll taste hints of citrus, nutmeg and allspice. It is perfect for drip or espresso use.

French Roast ~ Dark Roast. A carefully balanced blend of Fair Trade Organic coffees from Timor, Nicaragua and Mexico manifests as incredibly rich, silky-smooth and full-bodied. Chocolatey with notes of caramel and hazelnut. Dark but never burned, never bitter.

Morning Star ~ Medium roast. A lovely blend of northern Sumatran and Mexican Chiapas Fair Trade Organic coffees. This is their flagship coffee. Beautifully balanced, smooth, and rich. They roast their Morning Star Italian style. Subtle caramel with spicy notes of white pepper and vanilla bean.

Roaster's Reserve ~ Dark Roast. A compelling blend of Ethiopian Amaro Gayo and Columbian organic beans.... Rich, full-bodied and silky smooth on the palate. A true "Gout de Terre" aroma....Intense. Bold. Boasts flavors of old fashioned chocolate malted, Latakia tobacco, ripe apricot and a melange of Silk Road spices.

Decaffeinated Dark Roast ~ Their Ethiopian Sidamo, Mexican Chiapas and Mexican Oaxacan decaffeinated blend is not to be missed. Dark plum, huge body and lots of chocolate.
