According to the FAO/WHO, probiotics are defined as “live microorganisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.”
Microorganisms like bacteria are considered “probiotics” when they have been demonstrated, through various scientific studies and clinical trials, to confer health benefits and healthy bowel function in humans and/or animals.
Below is what I tried and how I felt about my results for each.
My thoughts on this product... it works but I had to stop using it after 3 days. I kept getting an odd sort of burning feeling down there. I stopped taking this after a few days to see if it would stop and it did right away, decided after about a week to give it another try and sure enough the same day I started I had that same feeling again. So I just stopped for good and passed the product onto a friend. She had great results with it and said she had no reactions. So there was just something in this that my body didn't like.
Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis M-63
Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis (B. infantis) is associated with improved growth, the development of intestinal membrane integrity, and is critical for developing immune function.*
Just chew 2 per day, they are sugar free and work great for adults or children.
Jarrow Formulas® Yum-Yum Dophilus® provides 4 strains of potent beneficial bacteria in a yummy chewable tablet.Beneficial intestinal flora can be depleted by a diet that is low in fiber, high in meat and sugar, by medication taken for illness and infections, by travel and by stress, etc. The result is dysbiosis (i.e., the disruption of the normal intestinal microflora), which can negatively affect digestion and well being.*
I did not try this product due to the issue with the Jarro-Dophilus ® Women.
They have quite a few products to choose from.
I was very pleased with the products, even with the slight issue I had. I still continue to use their products today.
