Mark is the creator of Tea and Trumpets and after spending a few years in the pharmaceutical industry, he realized something was missing from his work. While the industry treated him well, he wanted to create his own business that would in some way, add to people’s lives. One of the things he thoroughly enjoyed about his day is drinking tea. For Mark, there was something irreplaceably soothing about a cup of tea. He also found the health and medicinal uses of tea intriguing. As Mark searched for loose leaf tea in Santa Rosa, he found that his options were limited. He craved the interactive tea selection experience in choosing tea. He decided he wanted to create a tea business that had a quality selection, provided excellent customer service, and most of all, was welcoming not intimidating. Mark believes that the experience of choosing loose leaf tea should be fun and interactive. You don’t need to be an expert to find a tea that is right for you; just start smelling some tea and asking questions. Tea and Trumpets offers only USDA organic tea because they believe tea should be in its purest form; without the use of chemicals.

Mark the creator of Tea and Trumpets first started drinking tea with his mom around five years old. One day, when they were having tea and scones, she told him about the English ritual of having tea with crumpets. At that age, Mark had trouble saying crumpet, and from then on, whenever he wanted tea, he would say “mom, lets have tea and trumpets!”

Tea & Trumpets has a huge variety of teas. I love all types of tea, black tea, green tea, herbal tea, so it was exciting for me to actually go to the Tea & Trumpets booth at the farmers market in Santa Rosa and really check out these teas for myself. It's incredible to be able to see the tea leaves, open the sample jars and smell each blend Tea & Trumpets has to offer.
As I absorbed the wonderful aromas from the teas I was able to sample some of the flavors as I picked the selection I wanted to bring home. I decided to choose fro the black tea selection. It was so hard to pick but I finally decided on three. |

Peach Apricot Fusion ~ This is a premium black tea with natural peach and apricot oils. It's luscious fruity blend will take you to heaven with every sip.

Hawaiian Breeze ~ When I open this bag I close my eyes and feel like I have been transported directly to the islands. This tea is a fusion of premium black tea and a medley of tropical flowers. It is refreshing and awakens the senses. This is incredibly delicious. I drink it straight so I can fully take in it's blend of flavors but some may like to add a bit of sugar or honey.

Mark at Tea & Trumpet gave me this awesome tea infuser for my mug. It allows the tea leaves to fully expand and extracts the flavor to the fullest while keeping all the tea leaves
capture inside. It's fine holes you won't allow any particles to pass through and get in your steeped cup of tea. It has a convenient little hand so you can remove it without burning your fingers. It is the best way to steep your tea in my opinion and super simple to use as well as clean.

Green Teas are another favorite of mine and I will be purchasing all green teas in my next order since I picked up all black teas this time.Green teas are steamed or fired and have less caffeine than black. They are high in antioxidants and studies suggest green tea can reduce risk for several types of cancer. It is suggested as a weight loss aid to boost metabolism
