Garden of Life gave me the pleasure of trying vitamins from the myKind organics line. They offer and entire line of amazing vegan vitamins. I picked the ones best suited for me. I received a bottle of Women's Once Daily Whole Food Multivitamin Vegan Tablets.
I took these for 30 days and I felt better, I even had more energy. I try to eat right but lets face it, none of us are perfect and we don't always get every vitamin we need daily from what we eat. I learned a lot about these vitamins and how they came about and it makes me feel confident in this brand. I swear I have stared at the zillion brands of vitamins when I'm at the store. How do I pick one, what's the difference, does it really matter from brand to brand, how do I know what's best? I'm not a nutritionist or a Dr. so, seriously.....how am I supposed to choose? Price? Pretty picture on the bottle? It's confusing. What I do know is that I want to take one vitamin a day. I don't want 10 bottles of this and that on the counter. |
These vitamins that contain all of this junk, IMO (in my opinion) are just cutting corners. Binders and fillers are the glues to speed up the production process because they help keep vitamins from sticking to the production equipment and can be used for aesthetic reasons such as color, shape and sheen. The cheap chemicals commonly used are often hydrolyzed, fractionated stearates and other undesirable synthetics. In addition to these additives being unnatural and unhealthy, many have not been adequately studied or even labeled correctly .
Alicia, thankfully.... decided to team up withGarden of Life and make vitamins for not just pregnant women but for everyone. Garden of Life is an amazing company with standout sustainability initiatives and the leaders in Certified USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified nutrition. Together, they created mykind Organics, an entirely new kind of multi that is Certified USDA organic, non-GMO-verified and free of synthetic binders and fillers. YAY!! |
Garden of Life will be giving a bottle of vitamins to 5 (five) lucky Simple Side of Life readers. Good Luck and don't forget to tweet daily for extra entry points.
