Makes 3 was founded in the beginning of 2013 by a couple Kristine and Dan who were very concerned about the products and ingredients that they brought into their home after having allergy issues with their young daughter Alice. When Alice was 3 she had her first asthma attack which greatly impacted the family. A year later she developed eczema. After taking her to an allergist they were told that it was triggered by environment. The family was told to clean up her diet and watch the ingredients that the products they used were made of.

During this time the family became aware that Alice also had food allergies so they became cautious of the foods they put in their body and began to eat organic. Kristine decided to quit her stressful job and focus on her family and her true passions. The family always lovedscents and soaps and because of their organic lifestyle they created Makes 3.

Makes 3 sent me an amazing package of balms to try and I truly love each one. I got 4 twist tube lip balms, 3 jar lip balms, 1 Lip & Body Balm, 1 cheek-to-cheek body balm and 1 hand balm.

These Makes 3 jar Lip Balms are amazing!! They are so silky smooth and glide on like butter. The tins are easy to open because they have screw top lids so you don't have to fumble and struggle trying to pry them open. 

Of the three that I received it is hard to choose a favorite but I think the scent of the peppermint shea is my favorite. Every time I open the jar I close my eyes and relax a little. It smells sooooo good. They all smell incredible and leave your lips super soft.

All of theseLip Balms are made with coconut oil which provides natural Vitamin E and natural sun protection.

They are, of course 100% organic and made of quality ingredients. They are hand made in small batches. You can buy them individually if you have a favorite or you can buy them in a trio set. I like the trio because you get to try each one and apply whichever scent you are in the mood for at the time. The trio also makes a very cool gift and the more you buy the better deal you get.

Makes 3 Organic Fizzy Soda 4 Pack is so much fun for both kids and adults. It comes in four fizzy flavors. Fizzy Root Beer, Fizzy Cola Soda, Fizzy Cherry Soda and Nourishing Lip Balm. 

These lip balms have the same silky feel as the balms in the jars but come in twist tubes. Some people may prefer this traditional twist tube and some prefer the jar so it's wonderful that Makes 3 offers both.

As a glass blower in California I deal with a lot of heat and exposure to sun and fire. My lips are always dry, chapped or peeling so having a good, quality lip balm is very important to me. I hate it when I get the twist tube lip balms and they don't glide on smoothly. You know how they go on like a tough wax and you get chunks left on your lips that you have to smooth in? Grrrr it's so annoying. Makes 3 never does that. It applies properly, how you would want it to without any fuss. It's like butta. Smooth, silky and soft. ​This Makes 3 Passion Fruit Lip & Body Balm is super cool. I love the idea of having an all over balm. It makes life simple. Sometimes I don't have my big purse or even a purse at all so being able to carry around this pocket sized balm is genius. If you are at a sports event or an amusement park or hiking in the woods you can carry this Lip and Body Balm in your pocket and use it for everything. If your lips get dry or your hands are cracking you can just apply this and voila you are soft and smooth.

Makes 3 Lavender Cheek-to-Cheek Body Balm is like magic in a jar. It comes in a larger sized tin than the lip balms which I love because I can kind of rub the heel of my hand in it and then massage it into my skin. I like using this balm from head to toe after my nightly shower. The scent of lavender help sooth me to sleep at night. It is a very calming scent that relaxes me to sleep. I really love using it after I shave my legs because it nourishes my skin and keeps my skin from getting itchy and dry. It rubs in beautifully and leaves your skin with a nice glow and no greasy layer.

It is made with a blend of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic JoJoba Oil, and Organic Aloe Vera. It is rich in vitamin A, E and F and loaded with antioxidants.

Ylang Ylang Vanilla Hand Balm is the best hand balm I have used. I have sensitive skin and when I use products at times, particularly scented ones, I tend to get itchy or rashy. When my hands are super dry from working or from gardening and I put cheap lotions on it irritates my skin to the point where I have to wash it off. This Makes 3 Ylang Ylang Vanilla Hand Balm is so soft and gentle on my skin, there is no irritation or bumps or burning. I am loving that I can finally use a scented balm that soothes my rough hands.

I like to rub my palm into the jar but you can also take a small sliver of the balm from the container and warm it in the palms of your hands and then smooth it onto your skin.
